Summary

An international company SENLA is looking for a Senior Data Engineer in Warsaw.

More than 800 employees work at SENLA's development offices in Poland, Georgia and Croatia.

We develop software for medium and large businesses. In our company, we're not selecting a person for a particular project, but the project is selected for you according to your skills and background. Also, once you've worked on a project for a year, you have a chance to change the project, in case you'd like to work with a different team or technology.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implementation and maintenance of Data warehouses (DWH), Data Lakes, complex ETL\ELT piplines.

  • Design and implementation of high-load data intensive systems.

  • Participation in architectural discussions.

  • Answering the project's infrastructure questions.

  • Knowledge sharing.

  • Mentoring.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of work experience.

  • Deep understanding of Data Warehouses modeling methodologies and their implementation.

  • High proficiency and experience in ETL/ELT pipeline building, CDC and SCD principles.

  • Knowledge and understanding of the distributed and high-load data storage and processing system design.

  • Proficiency with Python and SQL.

  • Project experience with Apache Hadoop and its ecosystem.

  • Project experience with Apache Airflow.

  • Project experience with Apache Spark.

  • Project experience with Cloud Technologies (AWS/GCP/Azure).

  • Understanding of the MPP DBMS (Vertica, Teradata, etc.) and ability to work with them.

  • Knowledge and experience of working with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD tools.

  • Upper-Intermediate English or higher.

Nice to have

  • Java, Scala, R knowledge.

  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, etc.

  • Apache Beam, Apache Flink, Apache NiFi knowledge.
